ORION LOGISTICS BEGAN OPERATIONS IN 1996 AS A DIVISION OF ORION CONSTRUCTION PRIVATE LIMITED, INCORPORATED IN THE MALDIVES IN 1993. SOON AFTER WITH A HOST OF SERVICES COVERING STEVEDORING, TRANSPORTATION AND LOGISTICS, THE DIVISION TOOK ON THE BANNER OF ORION LOGISTICS PRIVATE LIMITED.

To facilitate a rapid momentum and the breadth of logistic operations within key sectors, we focused on a handson approach to providing our services to a growing list of corporate clients and key government sectors; we have been doing so successfully for the past decade.

We soon realized the importance for a complete logistics solution and after a succesful decade in local logistics, our directors took a decisive step towards international freight forwarding, by becoming a member of FIATA (International Federation of Freight Forwarders Association). FIATA is a 40,000 member strong body of freight forwarding and logistics firms, better known as ‘Architects of Transport’. Membership for Orion Logistics means
that our clients will benefit from a large network of support with influence in key neighbor countries and in fact representation as the largest such network with links worldwide.

Orion Logistics is a member of the Maldives National chamber of Commerce and industries and also a member of World Freight Network based in London.
